Moisture rising through masonry walls due to failed or absent damp-proof course, predominantly affecting pre-1970 brick veneer construction in Perth and Sydney. Causes progressive salt attack and internal plaster degradation.

- External ground level raised above DPC line

- Lower external ground levels below DPC line
