Deteriorated Splashback Sealant

Failed or missing sealant at the benchtop-to-splashback junction allows water to track behind the cladding and into the wall cavity, leading to substrate damage and potential mould growth.   • Engage a tiler or handyman for a professional re-seal where substrate damage is suspected
  • Where water has already tracked behind the bench, assess the substrate for swelling or rot before re-sealing
