Termite Management Durable Notice Missing or Illegible
I checked the usual durable-notice locations (meter box, kitchen sink cupboard, subfloor access) and either could not find a notice, or what I found was illegible or not updated. Without a readable notice I cannot confirm what system was installed, what chemical was used, the treated life, or when the next renewal falls due. Reference: AS 3660.1. I see notices removed or painted over during renovations, or never installed at handover.

- Original notice never installed by builder or pest technician
- Notice removed or painted over during kitchen renovations or meter box replacement
- Chemical top-up completed without the installer updating the durable notice
Symptoms to look for
- No termite notice located in meter box, kitchen sink cupboard, or subfloor access
- Notice present but faded, damaged, or missing critical fields (chemical, date, contractor)
- Treatment expiry date on notice has passed with no renewal entry recorded
Remedies
- After a treatment audit, fix a new durable notice (per AS 3660.1) in a visible location
- Licensed technician to document the existing system type, installer, date, and next inspection interval
- Fix the notice in a durable, readily visible location such as the meter box
